Respite:
August Home Care Services makes it possible for family member who are caregivers to take time off and enjoy much deserved vacation. We will provide respite service for your loved ones and give you that peace of mind needed to enjoy your time off.
Duties of Physical Therapist (PT):
Our Licensed and professional PT evaluate and treat clients who are in need of the following services under the supervision of a Medical Doctor:
- Post surgical procedure recuperation
- Mobility impairment
- Training in positioning
- Balance Training due to change in weight bearing status
- Transfers in/out of bed, chair, wheelchair, tub-showers, cars
- ROM to prevent or ease Contractures
- Therapeutic Exercise to improve ADL’s
- Safety/fall precautions
- Pain management
- Assist in obtaining any durable medical equipment (DME) needed.
Duties of Occupational Therapist (OT):
In your graceful older adult years, some fine motor skills are not as easily performed as before. Also injury can be a reason for losing the upper body strength. When faced with these issues, Our Licensed OT’s provides the following services under the supervision of a Medical Doctor:
- Training to independently carry out ADL’s
- Help cognitive impaired individuals to function independently
- Teach energy conservation techniques
- Teach use or adaptive equipments
- Teach fine/gross motor techniques
- Teach safety and joint protection techniques
- Provide upper extremity splints/orthotics
- Help with special seating and positioning needs
- Help clients with visual or perceptual impairments
- Safety measures
